It is that time of the year guys and girls. One of what has been considered Nairobi's hottest party scenes is about to happen.
Countdown T-minus 2 days
This time round it is going down on the 12th of December 2015 at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi, KE.
I haven't had the chance to attend any #JamesonLivePartyKE , last year it was 2 Chainz and DJ Stylez. This year we have the one and only B.O.B from Airplanes and Strange Clouds
His fashion sense is definitely a 'rapper' based one , complete with the gold chains and accessories, snapbacks and sneakers and the likes that we view on the music videos. His style might be as stagnant as it is versatile because the same artist that gives you baggy pants can pull off a red blazer and look very dapper. He is a style icon to many.
in this post i will help you try and figure out what to wear if you are planning on going for the concert this Saturday. Keeping in mind the various weather elements that the earth has dealt us.
Some of the all time classic looks are:
1) Sweatpants and Sneakers
2) Monochrome ( my favorite)
3) Casual not so casual
4) The wannabe rapper
1) Sweatpants
With the ever changing weather in Nairobi, I think sweatpants can definitely do you justice. As long as you dont look like you just stumbled out of bed on a Sunday and since you live around the area you decided that you will come an entice yourself with a little Strange Clouds.
Sweatpants go really well with a pair of Nike shoes or converse sneakers. You can pair the look with a leather jacket or throw on hoodie and you are good to go. Stick to grays and blacks, i advice one with deep pockets to avoid losing money, wallets and phones.
2) Monochrome
The monochrome is one of my favorite outfits and is functional at almost any setting. I advice that tones of white be broken with tones of brown, tones of navy blue be broken with tones of brown as well and even white. Tones of black should remain black, but you can break it with a little color like a pair of khaki adidas sneakers or white sneakers , don't go overboard though with the color blocking vibe.
Plus for bottom pants i advise denim , or chinos.
3) Casual Not So Casual
This look is one of my all time favorites and this is mostly what i wear. In the sense that i am able to remove or add one piece of clothing that changes my look and can be able to transform my outfit from what people refer to as night to day and vice versa.
This can basically involve wearing a pair of chinos and a plain white or black shirt and throwing over a leather jacket or long over coat and getting ready to wave in the crowd.
I consider Kanye West the king of this look.
4) Wannabe Rapper
Think of Lil Wayne, Tupac and the rest of the players in the rap music industry, saggy pants and what they call swag. This look shouldn't be overdone and i do not endorse sagging. !! I repeat i do not endorse sagging.
